Golden honors volunteers at appreciation dinner

State Senator Marty Golden hosted his annual volunteer appreciation dinner at the Bay Ridge Manor, 476-76th Street, on March 1.

Golden presented certificates of appreciation to volunteers who had helped put on events throughout the year such as the Easter egg hunt, Halloween Walk, summer concerts and Christmas tree lighting that he sponsors.

“Senator Marty Golden hosts many events throughout the year that requires the help of volunteers to make them possible. It has become an annual tradition for Marty to take time to recognize and thank all those who are key to the success of events,” said John Quaglione, spokesperson for Golden.

“Without the dedication of the volunteers, the events could not be as successful as they are. Senator Golden knows it takes a lot of hard work to make these events special for our community, and to those who contribute, he tips his hat and says thank you,” he continued.

Over 160 volunteers were honored at the event.
