Opening of Bical Auto Mall Marks Largest General Motors Dealership in New York

Business is booming in Brooklyn for General Motors.

The Bical family celebrated the opening of its newest facility in Brooklyn, Bical Auto Mall and Bical Cadillac, in December.

The three-story, 200,000-square-foot space – located at 2859 Flatbush Ave. – is just seconds off the Belt Parkway at Exit 11N, and is among the company’s most modern and impressive facilities to date.

“We’ve built something very special that will allow us to work even harder for our customers,” said the Bical Auto Mall Management Team in a statement, a spokesperson adding that the dramatic structure has almost as much space as five football fields.

“The new facility is really the culmination of a longtime dream of the Bical family to build a facility on a scale that would allow them to provide the kind of first-class service their customers deserve,” the rep said. “That’s the essence of this.”

The Chevrolet, Buick and GMC showrooms display a total of 35 new vehicles and will give their used car customers a new car shopping experience with 100 pre-owned vehicles on display indoors in a climate-controlled environment.

When customers make their decisions, they will take delivery from Bical Auto Mall’s massive selection of over 500 vehicles in stock.

In addition, the space allows the company’s service department to step up its game with 31 service bays and several wash bays to help customers get service appointments quicker, get in and out faster, and take advantage of express service for oil changes and other minor services.

To top it all off is a 10,000-square-foot parts department with a more-than-$½ million inventory of genuine GM factory replacement parts and accessories, making Bical Auto Mall a one-stop-shop for customers in need of service, repairs or enhancements.

And it’s all been a labor of love, according to a Bical Auto Mall spokesperson.

“I can tell you that from inspiration to aspiration to perspiration, this took a long time to come to fruition because the Bical family was very careful to go through the process, and dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s, so that they could wind up with a facility that they felt was right,” he said, adding that, though currently Cadillac is sharing the facility with Buick, Chevrolet and GMC, the brand will have its own stand-alone, state-of-the-art facility in 2020.

“This is huge,” the rep said.

The Bical family, in business in the community for more than 30 years, is proud of the sustained growth it’s shepherded. Its dealership is now the only GM dealership in Brooklyn carrying Chevrolet, Buick and GMC.

Accordingly, the Bical Auto Mall will continue the Bical family’s tradition of giving back to the community by supporting “worthwhile” non-profit organizations and events.
