Victim of early morning Sunset Park hit-and-run in critical but stable condition

A 27-year-old man suffered “life-threatening injuries” after being struck by a car in Sunset Park just after midnight Monday morning, Jan. 14.

Cops say that at around 12:30 a.m., the man was struck by a car near the corner of 52nd Street and Third Avenue.

Responding units discovered the victim lying in the roadway outside of 5119 Third Ave. with severe trauma to his body.

Authorities added that the car that hit him did not remain on the scene.

The victim was transported to NYU Langone-Brooklyn where, cops say, he is currently in critical but stable condition.

The incident occurred within the confines of the 72nd Precinct and the investigation is ongoing.
