West Fourth Street apartment catches fire

A fire broke out in a three-story apartment building on West Fourth Street between Avenues O and P Aug. 15. 

The blaze began in a first-floor apartment at 10:30 a.m. and was put out by 11 a.m. No one was injured.

A hazmat unit removed an e-bike and lithium ion batteries from the apartment. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
