Spaghetti Paradise @ J.O. Station

Spaghetti Paradise investigates the relationship between intellectualized fear and the raw physicality of horror. The exhibition is a funhouse mirror: now you feel it, now you don’t. Dread lurks behind B-movie horror tropes. Ghouls and gore bring the viewer into comforting familiarity: “I’ve seen this before”. Then, like Michael Myers in the window, deep-seated dread creeps in and terrifies. Fear lives inside the mind, and we travel to Grandmother’s on a path lined with Styrofoam tombstones.
