ROB AND RUN

Police say that on Tuesday, November 24 at approximately 1:10 a.m., a 19-year-old Asian man was robbed while walking home from a fast food restaurant.

As he approached the corner of Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street, police say, the victim heard someone sneaking up from behind. When he turned, he saw an unknown perp with a gray jacket and white jeans snatching his wallet — which contained money and a credit card — from his back right pocket.

The perp then ran to a sedan where a second perp was behind the wheel. When the victim tried to get his wallet back, the second perp got out of the driver’s seat, and choked and punched him before getting back in the car and fleeing the scene.

On Tuesday, November 24 sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., cops say an unknown perp broke into the apartment of a 66-year-old woman near 39th Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues through a rear unlocked window near a fire escape, stealing blue sapphire Swarovski stones.

One tenant said he saw a suspicious male knocking on the victim’s door then saying that he had the wrong apartment number.

No arrests have been made.
