Argument outside Bensonhurst building leads to slashing

A 24-year-old woman was taken to Maimonides Medical Center on Saturday, October 29 after a stranger slashed her in the neck with a knife and stabbed her in the arms outside a Bensonhurst building.

According to police, the 24-year-old was arguing with the stranger, a 25-year-old black man, in front of an apartment building located near West Fourth Street and 65th Street at around 2:30 a.m. when the man proceeded to reach for a knife.

He then slashed her on the left side of her neck before stabbing her twice on her left and right arms.

Police are investigating the incident and reviewing surveillance footage from the front of the building.
