An early morning house fire in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Thursday, August 29 left 12 people injured, at least four of them critically, said police, who later arrested a NYC corrections officer for allegedly setting the blaze.
Yvette Randolph, 43, has been charged with second degree intentional arson for allegedly using a flammable chemical to set the building–where a man with whom she was estranged was once a former tenant–on fire at around 9 a.m.
The investigation was conducted by the NYPD’s Arson and Explosion Squad.
