Delivery man robbed of $1,000 in snacks near 71st Street and Third Avenue

Cops say over a grand in snacks were stolen from a man making delivery near a Bay Ridge corner earlier this month.

According to police, a 40-year-old delivery man had approximately $1,098 worth of snacks stolen from his van by an unknown perp. The man is said to have parked the vehicle on Monday, March 13 at around 4 p.m. on 71st Street between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue when a crook subsequently cut the locks and chains and removed the items, which were inside two metal shipping and storage containers.

The stash included beef jerky, cakes and chips, among other goodies.

The victim discovered that the items were missing the following day at around 4:30 p.m.
