Ten of Bay Ridge’s most iconic restaurants are going to be featuring special deals from March 20 through March 30, as part of Dine in Brooklyn Week, the annual foodie dream-come-true.

So far, Bean Post Pub, Cebu Bar & Bistro, Chadwick’s, Fushimi, Greenhouse Café, Le Sajj, Sancho’s Restaurant, Schnitzel Haus, the Wicked Monk and Tuscany Grill are part of the still growing list of borough eateries attracting diners during the 10-day span with $28 three-course dinners, $15 two-course lunches and $12 weekend brunches. In addition, two Bensonhurst restaurants, Blue Agave Restaurant Bar and Tenzan, have signed on for the promotion.

In total, more than 60 restaurants across the borough are participating so far, with sign-up continuing through Monday, March 13. All participating restaurants are included on the event website, dineinbk.com, launched by Borough President Eric Adams on Tuesday, February 28.

The variety of restaurants both in Bay Ridge and boroughwide is indicative of Brooklyn’s diverse food culture, stressed Adams. “Nothing is more indicative of the transformation in Brooklyn than the various restaurants you see from neighborhood to neighborhood,” he noted. “It truly defines our ‘Brooklyn fusion.’”

Gerry Morris, a co-owner at Chadwick’s on Third Avenue at 89th Street, told this paper he was excited to participate in the event.

Noting that Chadwick’s has been involved with Dine in Brooklyn since its inception under former Borough President Marty Markowitz, Morris said, “It’s an inventive way for people to come out and try the various cuisines of all the restaurants that participate. We’re looking forward to it. It’s always a great pleasure to participate in it, and we hope everyone comes out to say hello.”

While the menu for Dine in Brooklyn has not yet been finalized, Morris said it would be designed by Executive Chef Zak Stillman to showcase Chadwick’s specialty – reinvented American cuisine “with a twist.”

Some 25 blocks away, Sancho’s Restaurant will be dishing out classic Spanish fare. “We try to serve simple dinners without fanfare and do our best for our customers,” said Celso Rodriguez, a partner at Sancho’s, which has been open at 7410 Third Avenue since 1985.

Dine in Brooklyn is presented by the borough president in partnership with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, with exclusive sponsorship from Visa and contributing support from Barclays Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Brooklyn Spectator and Home Reporter, the New York City Restaurant Association and Yelp.
