Bay Ridge Mental Health Council fundraiser

The Bay Ridge Mental Health Council sponsored a fun and engagingauction to raise money for clients at the Fort Hamilton Clinic ofSouth Beach Psychiatric Center.

The non-profit organization collected donations from members oftheir board, local merchants, workers at the clinic, and familiesin the community, and auctioned the goods to guests at their annualfundraising event on June 10, at the Fort Hamilton Mental HealthService.

All the proceeds from the event went to enhance the clinic’sexperience for its patients in the Psychiatric Center throughproviding trips, activities, and parties to them.

Laura Terranova, a social worker at the Fort Hamilton Mental HealthService, said If everyone contributes in a small way towards agood cause then you do help the cause.
