The event was organized to raise money for the Guild’s BuildingFund, helping pay for additional facilities for the organization, which has been assisting developmentally disabled children andadults since 1958.

Linda and Michael Allegretti were presented with special awardsfor hosting the event last year, and Councilmember Vincent Gentileand Assemblymember Alec Brook-Krasny were recognized for theirfundraising efforts by Paul Cassone, the Guild’s executivedirector.

According to McCone, the awards and speeches were kept to aminimum so the capacity crowd of over 100 could make the most ofthe wine and the culinary options. In addition to supporting thecause, she thinks attendees got their money’s worth.

For $65 a person, it was well worth it, she said. We had alot of wine and a lot of food.
