Over 150 bags of clothing were donated this year for the annualClothing Recycling Drive held by the nonprofit Asian CommunityUnited Society, which serves residents in Bensonhurst, Boro Park,Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights.
According to ACUS Executive Director Warren Chan, the event is heldnot only to help residents in need, but also to prove that ourcommunity is very compassionate. In addition to collectingclothes, the event served as an opportunity for a quick healthcheck-up with representatives from Lutheran Medical Center, HealthPlus, New York Life and Metlife.Clothing drive helps southern Brooklyn residents
