Happiness abounds at Reaching Out holiday party

Smiles are important during the holidays.

That is why the not-for-profit Reaching-Out Community Servicesmakes it its mission to put a smile on children’s faces during theChristmas season. On Saturday, December 17, the organization heldits sixth annual Operation Christmas Smiles Party.

There were many fun-filled, kid-friendly activities at St. Mary,Mother of Jesus Church, where the event was held. Thomas Neve,founder and executive director of Reaching-Out, credited thechurch, saying, I am extremely grateful to St. Mary, Mother ofJesus for allowing us to have the party there. The bigger spacemade it possible for more children to join the fun.

Face painting, a magic performance and puppet show were onlysome of the fun at this year’s celebration and the festivitieswouldn’t have been complete without a visit from Santa and theexchange of presents. Neve proudly exclaimed that it was, One ofthe best events we ever had and it was a beautiful thing.
