Conservatives party at annual brunch

The Kings County Conservative Party held its annual brunch on March 11.

This year’s bruncheon honored Ilene Sacco for her community activism. Sacco received the Ronald Reagan Americanism award for her work as president of the 68th Precinct Community Council.

Another feature of the event was an address by guest speaker Wendy Long, who is running for the U.S. Senate and who the party endorsed at the brunch.

Fran Vella-Marrone, vice-chair of the Kings County Conservative Party, remarked, “It was a great success. We were happy that Ilene Sacco was the recipient of the Ronald Reagan Americanism Award. Ilene has been active in conservative issues and the community as president of the 68th Precinct Community Council.”

“It was very exciting getting the Ronald Reagan award for my civic commitments. I like doing the stuff I do. I like being involved in different organizations. If you like what you do, it is not hard work and there is no need to be honored,” declared Sacco.
