Denise Romano comes on board full-time

After freelancing in the journalism world over the past six years, including a year covering Bensonhurst for the Home Reporter and Brooklyn Spectator

“We are excited to have Denise join the company full-time,” noted Co-Publisher Joshua Schneps. “Living in the neighborhood, she understands the needs and concerns of area residents.”

Romano said that she hopes to bring that insider’s approach to her coverage. “Southwest Brooklyn is an area often overlooked by the city and other media,” Romano said. “I look forward to covering the stories that matter most to my neighbors.”

Among Romano’s credits is five years working for the Daily News Brooklyn bureau.
