Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel
One tube at the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel will be closed for the next three weekends beginning April 13th as part of the $43.5 million project to replace the tunnels original 1950s-era electrical switches and feeder cables.
The scheduled weekend-long tube closure will take place from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday April 13-16th, April 20-23rd; April 27-30th.
The remaining tube will have one lane heading into Manhattan and one lane into Brooklyn. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use an alternate route.
RFK Harlem Lift Span
Motorists are advised that Robert F. Kennedy Bridge’s Harlem River Lift Span will be closed to all traffic in both directions between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday, April 13th for necessary maintenance work that will take place above the roadway.
Drivers should use the Willis Avenue Bridge as an alternate during this closure.
