The Friends of Carroll Park are still accepting donations of non-perishable food items to City Harvest’s “Feed The Kids” Food Drive. Final collections will take place between 1 and 5 p.m. next Tuesday, July 24, and Wednesday, July 25.
Food can be dropped off in front of the Robert Acito Park House inside Carroll Park, entrance on Smith Street between President and Carroll Streets.
Suggested food items include:
- canned fruit or vegetables
- peanut butter in plastic jars
- macaroni and cheese (packaged)
- hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
DO NOT bring glass containers, homemade items, expired food, or dented cans.
