On Saturday, December 15, over 500 parishioners from Mary Queen of Heaven and residents of the surrounding community celebrated the annual lighting of its Christmas tree.
Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello, pastor of Mary Queen of Heaven, blessed the outdoor nativity scene and flipped the switch to light the spectacular tree.
Children in the choir sung Christmas carols as everyone warmed up with hot chocolate and donuts.
Kids got to take pictures with the man of the hour Santa Claus and received an early Christmas gift.
Its always a good time, Gigantiello said.
