Thrills and chills at St. Anselm’s Winter Wonderland

St. Anselm’s School was literally transformed into a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9.

Aimed to delight the children of the community, the event featured a bevy of holiday treats. When attendees entered the school, they were greeted by a huge Christmas tree. On the first floor, little ones frolicked in Candy Land and Gingerbread Land. Kids also had a chance to write a letter to Santa Claus and mail it in Santa’s Post Office.

To keep adults happy, local merchants sold wares in a Christmas boutique. Downstairs, local children put on a production of a living nativity and got a chance to take a picture with the jolly man in the red suit. At the end, each kid received a toy.

Jeanine Condon, a St. Anselm’s alumna who now has children at the school, said that about 1,800 people attended over the weekend.

“We do it all for the kids,” she said. “People had a great time. Everybody loved it. We can’t wait for next year.”
