About 110 people thronged the Bay Ridge Manor on Sunday, April 14, for the annual Kings County Conservative Party brunch.
The honoree of the day who received the Ronald Reagan Americanism Award was community activist Arlene Keating, who is a past president of the Bay Ridge Community Council and now serves as the groups executive secretary as well as secretary of the Ragamuffin Parade Committee, and who spends countless hours volunteering on behalf of the neighborhood.
We were very pleased to have a great brunch and honor a wonderful lady, noted Jerry Kassar, the chair of the Brooklyn Conservative Party. Keating, he stressed, accomplishes so much for the Bay Ridge community. She is truly a community gem.
