On Friday, April 12, NIA Community Services Network held its fourth annual auction, this one a hoedown at the Regina Center, which was transformed into a Western town by local students and staff.
Many graciously contributed to the event’s astounding success, including NIA board and staff, school partners, local businesses and community leaders.
Among the 230 featured prizes were donations of authentic signed Nets memorabilia, bicycles, a television, event tickets, gift certificates from Forest City Ratner, an iPad from Investors Bank, monetary contributions from TD Bank and National Grid, lunch for four at La Sorrentina Ristorante with New York State Assemblymember Peter Abbate, Jr., and VIP seating at one of the Seaside Summer Concert Series shows, courtesy of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
Our western auction was a staff-led event on behalf of the program and a tremendous success. Everyone came in costume, had a wonderful time and went home happy. People are already talking about next years event. said the organizations CEO, Mary Anne Cino.
