Feast of Santa Rosalia starts with a bang

The Festa di Santa Rosalia, better known as the 18th Avenue Feast, kicked off last night with plenty of music, food and fun for all ages.

The 38th annual Italian-American tradition will be on every night between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. through Sunday, September 1.

A solemn procession carrying the Santa Rosalia statue will take place on Sunday, September 1 at 2 p.m. starting at 18^th Avenue and 72^nd Street, walking to the Church of Santa Rosalia. A celebration will take place at 14^th Avenue and 63^rd Street at 4 p.m.
