PYO Football: Jets zip past Falcons

The Parkville Jets took the initiative early on with a 35-yard spiral from Jasiah Raso to Sean Asaeda. Six points flashed on the scoreboard and the fans erupted with cheers.

Raso put another nail in the Falcon defeat when he ran in for the extra point, making it 7-zip. Before the first half ended, Dante D’Egidio rose to the occasion by recovering a fumble on the Falcon one.

The Falcons failed to produce on their possession and were forced to punt on the Falcon 15-yard line. Unfortunately, Matthew Sciarrone was on the scene to block the punt and set the Jets up for a 15-yard TD run.

D’Egidio took the ball and bullied his way to golden soil, breaking several tackles along the way. Andry Sanchez ended the third quarter scoring the extra point for the Jets, giving them a 14- 0 advantage.

The Falcons finally received their wake-up call when Tylon Martinez made an awesome interception on the 20-yard line but time ran out, giving the Jets the 14-0 victory.

The Falcon line known as “Blood, Sweat & Tears” included Patryl “Freight Train” Szustka, Peter “Meat Grinder” Barrone and Jonathan “Tombstone “ Hockfeld.

These guys are the fiercest in the league and they refused to yield an inch to the Jet assault. Hockfeld was especially aggressive, setting the tone for this battle. Jon “Smok’n” Nelson was “John on the Spot” making an outstanding interception.

The Jets didn’t just score touchdowns to win this game; they fought tooth and nail to achieve their goals and success. Top players worthy of mention were Anthony Barreira, Mohammed Kifayeh, Michael Medina and Trystin Tusa.
