Debbie DuHaime to be Star of Stars at Kings of Kings breakfast

Debbie DuHaime, a traffic reporter with Total Traffic and Weather covering traffic on 970AM The Answer on “The Curtis Sliwa Show,” will be the Star of Stars at The Home Reporter and Brooklyn Spectator’s Kings of Kings champions award and networking breakfast on November 7 at 8:30 a.m. at El Caribe Country Club Caterers, 5945 Strickland Avenue.

DuHaime also fills in on Channel 7 Eyewitness News and 98.7 ESPN NY on “The Michael Kay Show” reporting traffic and can also be heard on Sirius Radio reporting traffic week day mornings.

DuHaime interned for the legendary Rush Limbaugh at 77O AM WABC Radio. She also worked with “The James and Joel Show” on 770AM WABC and reported traffic for years on “The Curtis and Kuby Show” weekday mornings on WABC radio.

DuHaime got her first job in radio with WGHT in Pompton Lakes, N.J. She reported news and sports on WGHT. She covered high school football and baseball games.

DuHaime has always been a huge sports fan and really enjoyed being the public address announcer for the New Jersey Cardinals one summer in Sussex County. DuHaime covered lacrosse for The NJ Pride for several seasons on New Jersey Internet Radio.

DuHaime is the host of “Meet the Leaders” on Cablevision/Optimum Local in New Jersey. She has interviewed state senators, members of the state Assembly, mayors and even the lieutenant governor.

DuHaime is on the board of the New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis. This organization raises money for medical expenses for families dealing with Cystic Fibrosis. DuHaime is also a volunteer with Good Counsel Homes in Spring Valley, N.Y. Good Counsel provides housing for unwed moms.

She is a lector at St. Anthony’s Church in Butler, N.J.

DuHaime is also a member of the Drug Alliance board in her hometown. She has volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson and with the Passaic School Systems as a mentor. She is also a volunteer with The Ray of Hope Foundation in Jersey City.
