One of the best confrontations of the Parkville Youth Organization football season was the battle between the East and the West in the major division all-star football game. This classic rumble was a defensive war that ended in an 8-2 victory for the East.
The excitement opened with a slick interception by Phillip Dash Iacono who muscled his way to the West seven yard line. The East was denied entry to the end zone because a fierce West defense. Alex Vega Jr. and Jonathan Tombstone Hochfeld were part of the West Force that held the line against the East onslaught. Both wore the same jersey number 73. That number proved to be a major obstacle for the East offense. The West took possession of the ball when Jasiah Raso made an outstanding pass interception but the East defense also refused to yield any ground. Dylan Dead End Salas and Mohamed Elgerushi were brutal on the line and the East could not budge them. The West drew first blood with a safety in the second quarter. Jason Wolfman Perlstein got the East in forward gear with an interception on the 11 yard line. This set the East up for a 37-yard touchdown pass from Yusuf Farraj to Eric The Natural Torres.Wolf man Perlstein increased the 6-2 East lead by kicking two extra points. Iacono was hot to trot with his aerial attack and completed a 20-yard spiral to Torres. Again the fierce West line held their line. The West took control of the ball and began an aggressive nail-biting move down field. Their last hurrah was a Raso pass to Sean Asaeda that put them on the 15. Another pass attempt by Raso was picked off by Dash Iacono. This put an end to the West advance and the end of the game. This was a great game by everyones account and some of the players that electrified the fans were Iacono (two interceptions), Perlstein (two interceptions) and Lorenzo TNT Pisano of the East. On the West team, Peter Meat Grinder Barone and Anthony A-Train Barreira were the major obstacles that the East could not overcome.East cruises to victory in PYO football all-star game
