Bay Ridge Christmas decorations light up neighborhood

As they do every year, Ridgeites all over the neighborhood have been spreading Christmas cheer by decorating their homes with vibrant lights and décor. This yearly tradition brings out both the creativity and ambition of local homeowners and also gets the attention of pedestrians who enjoy catching a glimpse of the elaborate holiday themed set ups.

Various Christmas fixtures are prominently displayed, from snowmen and candy canes to reindeer and, of course, Santa. Some of the larger homes have their trees and bushes wreathed with dozens of lights.

One sports a giant wreath filled with lights and a red bow. Another has its entire exterior sprinkled with ice blue lights and also wears a large snowflake. Some houses also featured statues of popular cartoon characters, such as Charlie Brown and Snoopy, each donning Santa hats.

Regardless of size, these brightly lit homes each have something unique to offer.
