Muffin’s Pet Connection: Meet Isadora and the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Rescue Coalition

BY JUDE LASSOW

MEEOWZA-MEEOWZAIsadora, is a dazzling 10-month-old petite, shy, sweet girl who transforms into a playful dynamo when she spots a toy, and will thrive on your loving attention. She is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and up-to-date on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations.

She is comfortable around other cats, though still shy with humans, and seeks a very patient partner with whom to twirl in fun time. Extremely graceful and agile, she likes to explore her environment and is conscious of everything going on. Almost pure white, Isadora’s highlighted markings, such as her black cap, ears and tail, bring out her flirty side.

This adorable kit-cat was rescued from a hostile location. For more info, call June at 718-434-0577 or e-mail jbalish@verizon.net.

HEY JUDE: BROOKLYN BRIDGE ANIMAL RESCUE COALITION:  “Our group is to ensure the welfare of stray animals residing in our neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, which is in the vicinity of the Brooklyn Bridge.

“To this extent, we trap the stray cats and dogs we find in the neighborhood. We then take them to a licensed veterinarian for a full exam and to be neutered or spayed. When possible, we find permanent homes for these animals. If it is not possible to find them homes, we coordinate our efforts with other rescue groups to ensure the safety and welfare of these stray animals.

“We also work as volunteers with licensed wildlife rehabilitators to trap raccoons and other small wildlife. The rehabilitators relocate the wildlife to official animal sanctuaries, primarily on Staten Island, New York.

“Our coalition consists of animal advocates who want to help improve upon the quality of life for not only these homeless animals, but also to make our neighborhood a cleaner, safer place to live for all the residents in the area. If anyone is interested in ADOPTING A FRIEND, one of our pets, we ask you to complete an adoption application.”
