The Kings County Chapter of the Catholic War Veterans had received a donation of a 39-volume set of Time Life World War II books. One of theveterans had heard that St Anselm Academys Principal James McKeon wanted to expand the schools library, so St. Anselm was a perfect choicefor the donation.
When contacted, McKeon, a former U.S. Marine, said,The donation of the full set of Time Life World War II books has proven to be an excellent addition to our school library. The books are rich in history and photographs that tell the important story of the brave men and women who defended our freedom during WW II. The primary source documents comprised of original photographs, letters, newspaper articles and other items are excellent primary source documents for students to study and access. We are very grateful to have received this donation from the Kings County Catholic War Veterans. The past is present as Catholic War Veterans donate to St. Anselm’s
