Toasting community stalwarts at the GEC Wine Pairing Dinner

Matching different types of wines with a four-course meal, the Guild for Exceptional Children hosted a wine pairing dinner at Gargiulo’s Restaurant, 2911 West 15th Street on Wednesday, July 23.

Around 70 people attended the fundraising event where Andrew and Laurie Windsor were honored for the assistance that they provide both to GEC and the community.

“Both Andrew and his wife, Laurie, are very active in the community; especially in the education for children. We wanted to offer our appreciation to them,” said Guild Executive Director and CEO Paul Cassone.

Hosting the fun yet instructive event was Judge Jerry Rosenberg and his wife, Harriet, also long-time supporters of the Guild.

“I had a great time. It was actually a very fun evening,” said Cassone. “We got to tell people the mission of the Guild. This was people who were familiar with us and some who didn’t know about us. So, we got to reach out and tell people what we did.”
