Police Beat: Alleged rapist sought by cops in Bensonhurst

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating David Evanson, a 25-year-old black man, wanted in connection with a rape that occurred on Saturday, August 23 at 3 a.m. in the confines of the 62nd Precinct.

The suspect allegedly entered the 21-year-old woman’s apartment through a window, choked the victim as she lay in bed, dragged her into the living room, sexually assaulted her, and fled in a sedan vehicle.

The suspect is said to be 6’2” and 150 pounds.
