Two Brooklyn churches receive restoration grants

A $50,000 grant will allow the 120-year-old Bedford Central Presbyterian Church in Bedford-Stuyvesant to offset costs for a new roof and restoration of tower masonry, and a $10,000 grant will help pay for restoration of the parish roof and brownstone façade of the 167-year-old Church of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights.

The grants are two out of 22 awards bestowed to religious properties in the state through the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s Sacred Sites program.
