Amazon Fresh grocery service launches in Park Slope

Amazon is expanding its grocery delivery service with the launch of Amazon Fresh on the East Coast, beginning in Park Slope. The service is akin to competitors Fresh Direct and Instacart, reported ReCode.net.

At first, the service will only be available to Amazon Prime members and costs $99 per year, with free delivery. Orders placed before 10 a.m. will receive same-day delivery, while other orders will arrive the next day. Orders can include fresh groceries, as well as electronics and toys that are listed as eligible for same-day delivery.
