A good neighbor right on 86th Street, Bay Ridge Ford has heavily invested in Brooklyn according to the dealership’s president and CEO Gary Flom who says Bay Ridge Ford has also heavily invested in its neighbors.
“We opened in December, 2010 and we were the first Ford dealership to open after the last recession,” explained Flom, who grew up in the borough.
But, that was just the beginning. In 2013, the dealership completed construction on a service and parts center located at 152 58th Street within the Brooklyn Army Terminal. “We totally and completely renovated the showroom and really spared no expense,” said Flom.
The cutting-edge showroom at 612 86th Street – where the nabe’s local Blockbuster Video once reigned – features a state-of-the-art, 7,500-square-foot showroom and a large selection of inventory (from the Escape to the Focus) while the service center, with “the largest service capacity in the Greater New York Area,” sits pretty at 33,000 square feet, servicing both retail and commercial service needs.
From routine maintenance to major repairs, service center experts will keep your vehicle performing optimally. With customer convenience in mind, Bay Ridge Ford offers easy scheduling as well as the same high-quality auto parts in stock at the center.
In addition, said Flom, the new parts center also services local hospitals like Lutheran and Maimonides Medical Centers as well as local transit fleets like school buses.
“We’re so happy to service our communities – from Bay Ridge and Sunset Park to Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst,” said Flom, adding that the dealership – which started out with just 12 employees – now has more than 65 employees.
“We invested in Brooklyn when it was considered to be somewhat risky financially and I’m so glad that we took that chance,” Flom went on.
At the end of the day, Bay Ridge Ford is grateful for Bay Ridge (and the rest of Southwest Brooklyn).
“We support our local community just as they support us,” said Flom, noting specifically Bay Ridge Ford’s support of the Camp Brooklyn Fund. “In 2011, we donated rings to Fort Hamilton High School. We’re always very support of various local events and local organizations.”
Here to meet all of your automotive needs, Bay Ridge Ford promises to find the right fit for you.
