Catholic Charities keeps the Christmas spirit going

It’s a Christmas Miracle!

Thanks to Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, approximately 600 children received holiday gifts on Monday, December 22.

The organization, currently sponsoring over 160 programs and services for children, adults, seniors, and people with developmental disabilities, utilized a $75,000 grant from The Frederick Foundation in order to provide the 250 families with gifts this year.

CCBQ wanted the giveaway to adopt a “consumer choice” style this year, where parents had a plentiful amount to choose from and would be able to find gifts that would best suit their children.

The toys were collected at Brooklyn and Queens Parishes, with others donated to the Brooklyn Community Center, according to the organization. TD Bank gift cards, valued at $25 or $50 depending on the number of children, were also provided to each family.
