One tube at the Hugh L Carey Tunnel will be closed to traffic this Friday night into Saturday morning for removal of ceiling tiles damaged during Superstorm Sandy.
The closure will begin 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 and last through 5 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17. The remaining tube will have one lane operating in each direction during this time.
Motorists may experience delays, and may want to consider using an alternate route.
