Brooklyn Education: St. Saviour students welcome Aryn Quinn

On February 25, Aryn Quinn, CEO and founder of EndAbuse4Good, spoke to the students at Saint Saviour High School about preventing domestic abuse and teen dating violence.

EndAbuse4Good is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse affecting teens, women and children. Its programs encourage dialogue about healthy relationships and partner abuse, with an emphasis on keeping young people safe.

Quinn’s talk to the Saviourites included a description of the eight signs of an abusive relationship. The students also had the opportunity to ask her questions.

Saint Saviour junior Mariah Jenkins has been named the Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA Youth Volunteer of the Year for her service in 2014. She will be honored at an awards ceremony on March 25 in Manhattan.

She was nominated by the executive director of her local YMCA in Bedford-Stuyvesant where she has been a swim team member and a volunteer in the Aquatics Department for the past six years.

Mariah is also a member of the Saint Saviour Varsity Swim Team.
