Just announced: Summer Stroll 2015

Summer is certainly in the air.

The 2015 Summer Stroll on Third – a seasonal tradition fresh off its third year on the Ridge’s Third Avenue strip – has been confirmed for four dates this coming summer.

Live music, entertainment and merchant-run tables will line segments of Third Avenue for four Fridays: July 17, July 24, August 7 and August 14.

Last year’s stroll, Third Avenue Merchants Association President Bob Howe said, drew crowds in the thousands for an event that, for many, evoked nostalgia of days gone by.

“I think we had four unbelievable nights of both merchants and community participation,” said Howe at the closing of last year’s festivities, adding that, in just three short years, Summer Stroll has already become a Bay Ridge institution. “We had terrific weather and terrific reports back from both the merchants and the people who attended saying, ‘This reminded me of when I was a child in Bay Ridge.’”

The first two strolls (July 17 and 24) will envelop the southern end of the strip, from 80^th Street to 90^th Street, while the final two strolls (August 7 and 14) will take over the northern end, from 69^th Street to 80^th Street.
