On Thursday, April 2, in honor of Autism Awareness Month, the Department of Sanitation and Autism Speaks unveiled posters that will appear on collection trucks and mechanical brooms showing the agency’s support of and partnership with the advocacy group.
The posters will appear on some 2,600 department trucks and brooms throughout the month of April.
Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia was joined by Autism Speaks Co-founders Suzanne and Bob Wright at the unveiling which took place at the Manhattan West 4 Garage off of the West Side Highway.
