P.S. 212 brings the Halloween spirit

P.S. 212, the Lady Deborah Moody School, really brought some spooky to the school day on Friday, October 30 as students celebrated Halloween with a costume parade and dance performance.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of my very first Halloween parade at P.S. 212 as the new principal,” said Principal Rina Horne. “It’s been a tremendous effort. The children have been learning dances during their dance and drama classes and are excited to be performing.”

With a bevy of princesses, monsters, superheroes and the like, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first and second grade classes, showed off their dance moves in the schoolyard. The morning also featured a special performance by the Grade 3/4 Dance Club.

What seemed like an endless sea of parents lined the schoolyard’s fence, a turnout that the Principal called “the most parent involvement the school has seen so far this year.”

“Parents are out here to support their children and we’re very excited to have that,” added Horne. “I hope the children take this away as a wonderful memory of their time at P.S. 212.”

P.S. 212 is located at Bay 49th Street and Harway Avenue.
