Pumpkin Fest to take over the 69th Street Pier

Halloween Week is upon us, so why not kick your Halloween spirit into gear this weekend?
Councilmember Vincent Gentile is partnering up with the Waterfront Alliance to host Pumpkin Fest, a family-friendly event taking place on Sunday, October 25 from 12 to 4 p.m.

The event will be held at the American Veterans Memorial Pier at the foot of 69th Street in Bay Ridge. It is free and will include many fun things to do, such as pumpkin decorating and giveaways, ghost ship storytelling, and a costume parade and contest (beginning at 2 p.m.).

In addition, there will be a maritime skills hands-on lesson given by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation with live music by maritime folk group Bob Wright and Harbortown.
