CBS show Madam Secretary to film in Bay Ridge

Bay Ridge will be the backdrop of yet another silver screen hit.

“Madam Secretary” – a political drama currently in its second season on CBS – will film near Saint Anselm Church on Tuesday, December 1.

The shoot will start at 6 a.m. and last all day, from 80th to 82nd Streets on Fourth Avenue.

The show — which combines political maneuvering with more than a small dose of intrigue as well as family dynamics, “The West Wing” meets “Alias” meets “Parenthood” — stars Téa Leoni as Elizabeth Adams McCord, a former CIA analyst and college professor who is promoted to United States Secretary of State, and features Bebe Neuwirth as her chief of staff and Keith Carradine as President Dalton.  It is executive produced by Lori McCreary and Morgan Freeman.
