Saint Saviour student marks a milestone

Saint Saviour’s Lauren Duggan scored her 1,000th career point on Friday, February 5 in a non-league matchup against St. Vincent Ferrer of Manhattan.

Duggan’s 37 points in the contest allowed her to reach the milestone in Saviour’s last home game of the season. After she hit a free throw in the fourth quarter, the game was stopped so Duggan could celebrate the moment with her teammates, coaches and family.

The junior guard from Breezy Point became the first Panda to score 1,000 career points in 25 years, with an average of 25.8 points per game this season.
