Over 32,000 cyclists braved some wet and rainy weather on Sunday, May 1 at the the 39th annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour.
Here in Bay Ridge, riders pedaled down the Gowanus Expressway and over the Verrazano Bridge, to Staten Island. All in all, the event stretched 40 miles throughout the five boroughs.
The ride, presented by REI, is the largest charitable bike ride in the country, with proceeds funding Bike New York’s free bike education programs.
