A fun-filled day was had by the third, fourth and fifth graders of P.S. 101, the Verrazano School, at their Senior Field Day held at Dyker Beach Park on May 31.
Supervised by the school’s PE teacher, Gary Kane (“Mr. G”), and the PTA, the students spent the sunny day having relay races, bucket stacking, jumping roping, and participating in big t-shirt races, eye hand balancing, and the student favorite – the tug of war.
Senior Field Day winners were class 5-501, class 4-403, and class 3-301.
Afterwards. the PTA treated the whole senior class to pizza and drinks. It was a perfect ending to a fun day for the students, especially for those who are graduating on June 28.
