It was a haunted walk in the park on Monday, October 31 as Owl’s Head Park transformed into a place of spooks and thrills for local children and their families to celebrate Halloween.
State Senator Marty Golden once again hosted the Annual Haunted Walk and Fairytale Forest–this year marking the haunted walk’s 21st year. The event, which started at 3:30 when a number of trick-or-treaters got out of school, included a haunted walk for the bravest of Ridgeites and fairytale forest tours for the youngsters, along with a costume contest for all.
“The turnout was great again this year as the community was together in celebrating Halloween at Owl’s Head Park,” said Golden. “It was so great to see so many families in attendance, having fun and taking part in the festivities. There was real Halloween spirit in the chilly air and that was thanks to all those dressed in costume, children and parents alike.”
