The Brooklyn Nets have been ranked among the top budget-friendly teams for sports fans to cheer on courtside, according to a new study by CheapTickets.com.
The team — which plays at Brooklyn’s own Barclays Center — was named one of the cheapest NBA teams for fans to enjoy live, at the court, without blowing their budget.
On average, the report says, Nets fans shell out just under $80 ($79.87 to be exact) on a game-day experience. That price, officials said, covers the cost of a ticket, parking, a hot dog and a soda at the venue.
The Brooklyn team beats out rivals like the Knicks, Celtics and 76ers, but falls short to teams like the Utah Jazz (who top the stat sheet with the cheapest game-day experience in the league at just $63.25 an event) and the Charlotte Hornets (one penny behind the Jazz at $63.26).
The Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks also top the list.
According to the Nets’ PR team, CheapTickets “set out to find the true cost of being a basketball fan, comparing the average price of a game day experience at each of the 30 NBA teams’ home arenas to rank which sides give fans the best bang for their buck.”
