Looking to brighten the holidays for children in need?
Why not contribute a new, unwrapped toy to the toy drive being mounted, as it is every year, by the 68th Precinct Community Council and the Dyker Heights Civic Association?
The toys collected will go to the children served by Reaching-Out Community Services, a Bensonhurst-based food pantry, and the children of service members stationed at Fort Hamilton Army Base.
“Please help us make the holidays a little brighter for the families of our soldiers and those who could use a hand at this time of the year,” the community council’s email reads.
Toys can be brought during business hours to the Home Reporter’s office, 9733 Fourth Avenue, as well as to the following locations by Tuesday, December 12:
- 68th Police Precinct, 333 65th Street;
- Assemblymember Pamela Harris’s office, 8525 Third Avenue;
- Assemblymember Nicole Malliotakis’s office, 7408 Fifth Avenue;
- City Councilmember Vincent Gentile’s office, 8018 Fifth Avenue;
- Community Board 10, 8119 Fifth Avenue;

- NIA Community Services Network, 6614 11th Avenue;
- Investors Bank, 7414 13th Avenue; and
