Borough Prez to host March for Our Lives rally during, after nationwide school walkout

Coinciding with the March for Our Lives National School Walkout, Borough President Eric Adams will host a rally on Wednesday, March 14 at the Prospect Park Bandshell.

The rally – which will take place the same day students across the country are planning a 17-minute walkout of schools in honor of the 17 lives lost during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14 – will take place from 2 to 5 p.m.

At the rally, which will take place mostly after school hours, participants “will call and write legislators, learn how to speak truth to power, and build a Students’ Bill of Rights,” according to the event’s Facebook page.

“Come out and be heard! Join students, educators, and allies from across New York City to speak out against gun violence and to demand action,” wrote the Beep on social media when sharing the event. “Please share this widely and join us in saying enough is enough!”
