Cops are looking for a suspect in the assault and robbery of a 66-year-old man in Sunset Park.
According to authorities, on Tues., Dec. 11 at around 8:25 p.m., on 32nd Street between Third and Fourth Avenues, the victim, a cab driver, was approached by the suspect, who asked the victim to drive him to Fifth Avenue and 47th Street.
The driver complied; however, once the car arrived at the destination, the suspect took out a knife, placed it at the victim’s neck and threatened to stab him if he moved. The crook then stole the victim’s phone, $2,700 and the keys to the car before fleeing eastbound on 47th Street.
The victim sustained cuts to his neck; he was treated by EMS.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, around 40 to 50 years old, and 5’8” to 5’10” in height. He was last seen wearing a dark colored knitted cap, a dark colored jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
